AFAU Scholarships

We’re looking for motivated fence pros across Indiana & Kentucky who are ready to level up their skills, strengthen their teams, and elevate our industry!

We’re investing in the future of the fence industry! The IN/KY AFA Chapter is awarding  2 scholarships to cover AFA University (AFAU) training this season! 

AFAU programs include:
• Fence Installation School
• Gate Automation Installation School
• Sales Training School
• Operations Manager School
• Leadership Academy

Tell us which AFAU school you want to attend and how it will grow you/your company.

Board Selects, Approves, and then Announces Winners!

 

What We Cover:

​

ALL School costs will be reimbursed post attendance and graduation of school

What's included with the Cost, Your registration includes:

  • Five full days of expert instruction

  • Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner

  • Required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Printed training manuals

  • Shuttle transportation between the hotel and training site

  • Hotel accommodations for six nights (double occupancy)

Pre-Qualifications for AFAU Scholarship Applicants

​

1. Current Industry Involvement

  • Must be currently employed by or own a fencing, gate, or access control company.

  • Must have at least 6 months of experience in the fence industry.

2. AFA Membership Preference

  • Active AFA member or employee of a member company (preferred but not always required).

  • Non-members may be eligible if they plan to become members before attending AFAU.

3. Location Requirement

  • Must live or work within Indiana or Kentucky (IN/KY AFA Chapter region).

4. Commitment to Attend

  • Must be able to attend the upcoming AFA University session in full (travel and lodging not included unless specified).

  • Must agree to share a short summary or testimonial after completion for chapter and AFA promotion.

5. Professional Goals

  • Applicant must demonstrate how the AFAU program will enhance their career or company (1–2 short paragraphs is fine).

  • Bonus points for leadership potential or plans to share knowledge with others on their team.

6. Employer Support (if applicable)

  • Employer must confirm they support the employee attending (email or brief letter of recommendation preferred).
